The Elite Power cable is now on a tube pre-amp that is regarded as "Class A" in both Absolute Sound and Stereophile and other regarded sources. It replaced a cord also regarded as "Class A". The prices are very similar, Meaning to my reference relatively expensive. I have replaced my source components I.C.'s with Morrow Elites so the pre-amp was the choice for the cord. I am obviously pleased with the Morrow I.C.'s and what they offer so these comments are to be on the power cord as much as possible.
Upon the cable switch it was obvious that something favorable had occurred. What was previously a reference quality pre-amp has now climbed upward a few steps. The previous cord while seemingly performing all its tasks in an exemplary manner was now being outperformed by the Elite power cord. Everything good just became more. It was all better....... and it was all great before. While the previous cord delivered the sound it had also acted as a sonic "equalizer" and buffer unbeknownst to me. The Elite let the pre-amp open up a good deal more in all the areas for which it was auditioned and purchased. It was like getting a bonus for something I did not know existed.
Here is where a letter usually states selections on a record/CD that are supposed to support auditory revelations of a cable addition to a system. And here I will not. All I can do is close my eyes and open my ears and smile in amazement. It is complete.
